For those of you who are internet savvy, downloading music is no biggie. It is what everybody is doing nowadays. It is the easiest way to get access to your favourite artist without having to spend money or time to run to a store to grab the CD. You can download an entire album of your favourite artist or artists. Downloading is a big help. It is not just music you can download. You can download an episode of your favourite soap that you missed, or download a video, or a movie. You can do all of it in just a few odd seconds or sometimes minutes.
Why are some people against downloading?
Not all downloading is legal. Very often people download a lot of music, movies, or videos illegally. If you are one who has an eye on news, you would know that there have been dozens of cases filled by recording companies. They claim that people have unlawfully downloaded their music. Many believe that artist are being put out of business because of the downloading option now available to people. More people have started downloading music rather than buying CDs at record stores. Recording companies are strongly opposing downloading sites. They believe they are being robbed of existing customers and that the artists are harmed by all the free downloads. They even claim that the music industry is drowning because of downloading.
In spite of all the law suits and the controversies that are literally being spun up by the minute, downloading is here to stay. The record companies are just going to have to come to terms with it and face the inevitable truth. People love the whole concept behind downloading and there are so many people worldwide that are into it. There is no stopping downloads now.
