Mesothelioma Treatments and Cancer

I was in class when the lecturer started to teach us about mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer which affects the body’s internal organs. According to him, the disease causes the cells of the mesothelium to be become abnormal and divide without control or order. This damages all nearby tissues and over 2000 new cases of mesothelioma are diagnosed in the United States each year. Men usually contract mesothelioma cancer more often than women and risk for disease increase with age. Some common mesothelioma treatments include surgery as well ad radiation or chemotherapy which tries to alleviate pain and increases the chances of recurrence-free survival.
